Kyras has very graciously agreed to let me, Virginija, and Anika hang out at her place on our way back from Australia in January. We'll be coming off of a 22+ hour trip (stopovers in Sydney and Fiji), arriving at 1pm at LAX, and have a flight home at 11pm. It's a long layover, and I'm sure Anika will need some real sleep.

I can't thank my friend nearly enough for the help.

Patty, I just got around to reading this. I'm so sorry that you have been going through this but pleased that you at last have an answer and a plan of action, along with all the advice you have received from your friends here.

Wow, Patty, seems I've missed a lot but I'm glad you can finally put a name to it. I hope the meds will continue to bring you relief without any drastic side effects. Hang in there sistagirl! My son has had it since childhood but functions quite well with his meds, even manages to play the piano. I'll have to find out what he's on now.

Thank you, again, friends (Katherine, Angela), with your care and advice. I took my second pill today, and it seems to help more than iburofen, already. I did feel a little queasy though, so I will have to be careful to have more in my stomach.

I was so sad to see my kids leave today, after having them both with me since Tuesday. I didn't want to be home alone when they left so I left too. I went to my first Weight Watchers meeting here in my new area. Time to get my shit together.

Sorry to hear this news Patty. I have a law partner who has RA. He has it well managed with medication and is on very light dosage now. He execises regularly, with no problems. I hope your case is equally managable.

Thanks, Bill. I know it's a fairly common disease so I'm not breaking any new ground. That's why it's good for me to hear any insight others can give me.

Patty,

Sorry to hear about the RA, I hope the drugs will help you. And I can't believe you need to go to Weight Watchers!!! I so need to do the same because I am a stress eater!!!! UGH

So I wish you luck in both of your physical challenges!!!!!

^Thanks, Hilly. I want to waste money. I just bought some new extra large skorts from LLBean. Seems like every time I do that, I have success with Weight Watchers and the clothes are too big in about a month. But I have plenty of clothes in the closet that are too small right now, so it's all good.
