Headed to Portland for the half marathon. Really hoping I get over this cold before I leave.
Awesome!! Please let us know how it goes!
Rough, but I finished. Slower than I lie, but others were also commenting about how the run seemed tough. None of us knew why. The rain wasn't really a factor even though it rained most of the race. Chalk it up to a bad race. Next one is in two weeks. GREAT swag though. Best I have ever gotten after 25 races over the past two years.

Best swag I've seen was in the Flying Pig marathon in Cincinnati. Just about all races used to provide a poster. We would frame them and hang out medals in them. Now feeer races are doing that. So we mount tshirts, etc. to add to our wall.

We are headed for a tour of the Frank Loyd house Falling Water east of Pittsburgh. The wife has always wanted to see it. I toured it prior to Spring Fling '07 (I think)

I remember meeting you there for the first time. I was there with Jerry (Spokes Man). You seemed do sad. I'm glad you're happily married now. I love that place. Please take fall color photos and share them if there are still leaves.

More winter prep this weekend.
  • Detail my wife's TSX
  • Put away the outdoor furniture
  • Take down a worn out canopy and frame over the deck

I will take some time out for fun. Plan to take the kit car to Cars and Coffee Saturday morning. If the rain holds out Sunday, might take my wife out for a top down ride in the S in the afternoon.

We stopped in Nashville on the way to a Louisville MG meet this summer. It was a lot bigger than I would have guessed. Enjoy.

My administrator and her husband own the sports memorabilia shop in downtown Nashville, IN. If you stop by, tell them Joey said "hi"!

There is a great abandoned town near there named Story. It shut down when the lake was dammed just after the depression, blocking the road to Bloomington. Someone purchased all of the land and buildings in the '90's and turned it into a B&B. The old General store is now the restaurant, and the old residences are the rooms. I highly recommend it.

My daughters HS soccer team won their region, so we are heading to semi-state this weekend.

Was going to a dog adoption event on Sat put on by a friend, but just saw the weather forecast - 59 and windy! Not adopting, but the dogs are cute. Too bad it isn't today - headed for 84.
