I know what I'm not doing. I pulled my sons car into the garage to replace his rear pads and rotors.
MB uses drift pins to float the rear caliper. great idea until they rust and swell up so you can't push them out....
parts come in on wednesday.

Not much today. It's cold outside and I don't like cold. I'd like to grab some Christmas like photos to enter into the local newspaper contest but I don't know if I'm in the mood to be cold....I did win the contest last year....I've done some cleaning, now that's no fun.

We' d like to head out in the Porsche but it's cold, summer tires and all that. It's got a dealer plate on it now so that's another reason to leave it where it is. We will register it tomorrow.

Buying a convertible in December in Massachusetts is like buying ice skates in June...the fun just can't happen.

The cran-apple crisp I took to the +1's art class party was a big hit!
We had dinner last night with my nephew from Seattle, who presented a paper at an emergency management conference. Went to a Greek restaurant near his hotel. It was very good! Fri night we are seeing Wicked at the Kennedy Center. Sat is another holiday party and also the +1's birthday.

Will try and get in the Christmas spirit this weekend. Decorating is done! Will be wrapping presents and might think about baking some cookies.

Having a December birthday, I'm all too familiar with this. I'd ask for a bicycle and get a sled. Or, if I did get the bicycle, it would sit in the basement until May.

My sister has a December birthday. Mom would have to make sure a gift was purchased before Christmas as after Christmas, the choices were limited.

Final half marathon of the year on Sunday. Suppose to have a high temperature of 17 degrees Sunday. This should be fun.

That's a bit chilly...good luck! The +1's next one is in Feb, but in AZ. I watched a show called Polar Bear Town, which takes place in Churchill, Manitoba. The half marathon there was run in -40 degrees!!!

Visiting family this weekend. My Mom's side is having their annual Holiday get together (love that good German food!) in Columbus.

I did get a call form my Dad's sister, who I haven't seen since my wedding (2003). She's not doing well, so now that I have her updated address, I'm planning a trip to see her (only an hour drive away, just north of Columbus). I had a great 1.5 hour phone call with her.

My son and I are going to see Rouge One this weekend, with his fiancée down in Cincinnati.

Oh, I finally found a chess table in a Cherry stain with Queen Anne legs, that will match my furniture. I've been looking for one for years!! Great Christmas present for me!
