No salt here on the east coast yet. Keep getting the fun cars out for one last drive. Hope our good luck continues, but I doubt it will for long.

The state sprayed brine on the roads a few days ago. I hope the rain that is coming will wash it off but Sunday there is a chance of frozen mix so they may put it down again.

Driving season may be over!

What led you to choose that product, Robb?

My friend is the service manager at the independant repair shop we have in town and he recommended it to me. I had it done when I bought the WRX new and I just had a second application put on. It seems to cling very well and gets into just about every crevice and nook in the car.

^ I'm going to have to steal that one and just change the car to an MG for our club newsletter.

Does it harden? I have never heard anything good from any reputable shop about most of the coatings people apply. Many tend to actually trap moisture. I know there are some that are supposedly good but just have not run into anyone that recommends anything beyond washing often.

It doesn't harden it stays pretty viscous. I bought the car new and had it done right away so its always been protected. I live in a ski town so they use tons of salt here so washing alone won't cut it. When I worked up on the mountain they had a wash bay in the maintenance building and I was able to wash my truck frequently and the road crew guys would let me keep it in their heated garage bay after and it still rotted out.
Oil undercoating is big up here but that makes a mess and drips all over, the corrosion free doesn't drip and seems to cling very well.
