You cannot sing low
I am REALLY IMPRESSED with your knowledge of music. I admire that talent that I do not have. I was tempted to post an E-mail that I sent to some other friends after watching the original YouTube in this thread that caused an E-mail thread. But, I decided not to bore my Vintage friends.
I used to play saxophone and piano, and I'd have a go at other instruments, while my wife played trumpet, violin, guitar and piano. We try to nourish the same interest in our children and they're both doing fantastically. As well as singing, our son also plays horns, guitar/bass and piano, and was named music prefect for his school this year. Our daughter also sings, plays violin, horns and piano.. They also study music theory, and have taken to arrangement and writing their own pieces. We're (still) part-way through fitting out some shipping containers as a music studio so they'll have a dedicated area to explore music. We have a baby grand piano in the house but that won't go out there.
I'm kind of envious of their involvement in music and wish I hadn't given up when I found cars. I also have no idea what they're saying most of the time when they're talking about their compositions, I just try to nod and say "uh-huh" in the right places.
