Just wondering if you guys have come across a good cleaner that is safe to use on the wrinkle red valve cover? The paint isnt peeling but has become dirty over the years and simple green or degreaser isnt removing the dirt/stains.


Any solutions?

In for this as well, was just wondering about this yesterday....weird

 

engine brite by gunk is pretty good stuff...spray it on and it does the work for you and you just simply rinse it off.

 

i have used spray nine and a soft brush after letting it sit on there for 5 min and it works wonders

 

ive done 3 valve covers. i used Adams APC (all purpose cleaner) i did the whole engine bay at once but you could do it just to the valve cover. rinse it with water. spray the APC on. agitate with a brush and than rinse it off. i followed it up with a small amount of Adams super VRT and it looks brand spanking new.

 

The first time I used Meguiar's Super Degreaser because it was dirty, now I use Meguiar's All Purposes Cleaner.
I dress it with my Meguiar's Trim detailer
