Default Can I fix this mess?

First off some background info, last week my careless brother dragged the garden hose across my bumper. I used some scratch-x and Meguiars #80 to get most of them out except for 1 scratch. For some reason trying to remove that scratch created some marring and hazing.

To make a long story short I actually buffed it (by hand) so much that I rubbed the clear coat off and right into the paint. I never thought that was possible especially since the stuff I used wasn't very abrassive.

So... now I just wanna kill myself since I made a tiny scratch into a huge eyesore. I just threw a blotch of paint on it for now. I thought about a body shop but I think its too small for them to want to work on. I definately don't want a full repaint.

Tomorrow I'm gonna pick up some Langka/Mothers and see if I can just minimize my damage. I know many have reported that the Langka removes the top layer and makes the silverstone dull. Well, that's the only solution I can think of for now. I would really like to take it to a professional to get this fixed right, but I have a feeling that they won't even work on it or suggest a full repaint.

Take a look at the pics in the thread below and let me know what you guys think. Thanks

prob should have gone more aggressive with the polishes before painting-
at this point give the langka a chance... follow its instructions carefully-
then let us know how it went with pics and we can suggest the next step if you need it.

Ok, will do

I know the Langka can remove the touch-up mess I made so hopefully I can start fresh. I'll let you guys know how it goes. Thanks

You might want to call local car dealers and see who they use to fix thier chips, pings, scratches, etc. You might could get it airbrushed. After I learned, there is a guy in my area that is good at airbrushing, I quit fixing my chips and scratches. When I get enough, I will just go see him for a little airbrush work. My honda dealer told me about this. Hope it helps.

Might want to consider toughing it up so the paint is raised, then find someone to carefully wetsand it, and try and possibly reclear just that part.......or possibly the whole bumper. A clearcoat should not cost that much.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys

I've calmed down a lot since the occurrence. It really isn't that big, but it's an eyesore to me. Anyway, I'm experimenting with Langka right now, I'll let you guys know how that goes

Here's what the spot looks like after I took off all that touch-up paint so I can start over.
