For one I'm going to call

And refer you to this website so you can learn some basic chemistry

speaking in a warfare sense. Not interested in your internet arguing since it worked extremely effectively for me and resolved the situation in 5 minutes and allowed me to get to my final on time.

I'm actually college arguing with you, but alright. Its basic college or 10th grade chemistry logic. To neutralize a base (egg) you need an acid.
You used the term "neutralized" so I argued with you. With an acid or base, water with a pH of 7 will act as either a weak base or weak acid with a stronger acid/base, however city water will often have a basic pH as well at around 7.4 or 8.2, therefore your neutralization of an egg hypothesis is in fact incorrect.

^---what he said sort of make sense! I forgot everything I've learned in 10th grade Chemistry, not sure how I aced that class.

What Kmelthratter said is to slap on a wet towel right away when you get pwned by an egg. I got egged once when I was driving, the egg skeeted all the way from my hood -> windshield -> front left door -> rear left door -> rear qtr panel. This was at about 12am at night and I tried to clean it at the gas station at 7am. Got a full car wash at 12pm.

It was too late.

When I was high school my car got egged while I was on vacation. The car was still at home needless to say after a week of august sun and heat my cars paint job was ruined. Thankfully this was long before the s2000.

Wouldn't buffing compound work for this?

I recommend you stay away from Autopia's Detailing Wiki. It's a good read.

First off, how do we know that he was talking about chemical neutralization? Maybe by saying neutralize he meant that he make the egg's car damaging effect ineffective.

neutralize:
2a: ... make ineffective

But, back to what you said about an egg being a base, it seems like it isn't really much of a base. I'm finding that the pH of the egg yolk is 6.0 and the albumen is 7.6, unless I missed the part about it being a century egg that was thrown at his car.

Disclaimer: I have no experience with egg removal nor the material properties testing eggs.
