Close encounter w/ salt truck.
Only had the car for a week and I had an unfortunate close encounter with a heavy duty salt truck's spray. I painfully cleaned off the exterior, counting up the damage from big salt crystals
. I opened the engine bay and
. There must be a pound of salt, some in chunks, others crusted, in the engine compartment.
I vacuumed out the lose chunks, but the radiator and the lower half of the engine compartment is WHITE with a thick layer of salt dried on to it.
I read the posts about the cleaning engine compartment. Does anyone have experience cleaning MASSIVE amounts of salt out of the engine compartment?
Would a gentle spray of warm water just eventually dissolve the salt?
