Default Condensation on INSIDE of headlight lens

Just took delivery of my S and after washing it there is water inside the passenger headlight.

Is there a DIY for lens replacement and resealing?

Thanks.

its the seal or someone has opened it up before. what you need is butyl to seal it back up. its fairly easy, just will take the better part of a saturday if you haven't done it. the link posted above is a great resource to get you started. AP2 are just a little bit different but same steps.

Is this the same process that would need to be used to re-seal one of the rear light assemblies? Are there any disassembly instructions on how to get to those lights?

I had the same problem, but it was a bad(round) gasket where HID ballast underneath the headlight was mounted to.

shouldn't have to buy a new lens for headlights/taillights having condensation. you can either bake the lights or use a heatgun and apply the sealant around the edges that bring the lens and back cover together.

if you want to dismount the lens completely or take apart the lights, just make sure to lift up the clips as you go around pulling apart the lens from the back. headlights are fairly easy to take apart since you just pull it apart. haven't tried taillights but i heard they are easier to crack/break due to the angle of the lens.

one way to get rid of condensation without removing your lights are to remove the turning signal and parking bulb (headlight), and apply a heatgun to the bottom opening since heat rises up. also helps to apply heat to the front lens every few seconds to speed up the process.

sealant can be bought at oreilly or any hardware store.
