I think most (certainly I do) just wash the vinyl soft top with car shampoo and mitt as the rest of the car and then apply 303. Applying 303 to the applicator first and then the roof.

thanks. I tried vacum and needless to say that didn't work too well. Thought of a soft brush but not sure if it'd help that much.
a mitt?? duh.. somehow that never crossed my mind. thank you!!!
wanabe: I noticed sand & dirt in a few places (my work is near a beach) but probably not that bad. I think I'll go with the mitt.
