Default Different Method of Applying Tire Dressing

Not sure if this is a re-post as search is down, but I ran into this on another forum. It makes sense and is a little more time consuming but is it worth it? Has anyone tried this before? Could it also work for plastic trim?

Interesting method. I usually get 2-3 weeks out of an application of tire shine. So, I'm not sure getting 1-2 extra weeks is worth all the extra effort.

There's a point of dimishing returns in detailing. Spending this much time on applying tire shine for such a small amount of return might not be for everyone.

Ill pass and use Meguair's Natural Shine instead that last three times as long as actual tire gels, sprays or any other stuff.

It really works wonders, try it.

agreed, it is time consuming and overboard for most people. just wanted to post as I've never seen anyone do it like that. but if you don't have to wait for the dressing to settle to avoid slinging, then it may be worth it in some cases.

i've used Meg's natural shine and a ton of others but recently been using Tuf Shine. It doesn't sling, lasts a month or longer and doesn't attract dust/dirt. maybe I'll give this method a shot but more than likely not.
