Engine Bay Detailer
So, I decided to purchase another S2000 after finding a very clean 2001 in town I could not pass up. It had low miles and did not need anything but a deep clean.
I already stripped the entire interior and DEEP cleaned everything. Then I moved to the paint, I started with a claybar, then moved to a 3M Perfect it 3000, then moved to a polishing glaze and wax. Next is under hood, wheel wells, suspension, brakes and then get it on my lift and do the dirty work on the underbody.
Anyway. back to the topic here, what is everyone using for the engine detailer? I know CD2 is not being made, I cant find the Black Majic and don't like using tire shine as it is too greasy.
It's not bad but could be better

I am still using CD-2, but I can tell you what other folks are using with success: Stoner Trim Shine, Meguiar's Hyper-Dressing, Pig Spit, Adam's In & Out Spray, and 303 Protectant. I'd probably give 303 Protectant a try first.
I am in Kansas City and I would pay for it also but I have yet to find anyone that will do any work to my standards so I am left doing it my self. You know what they say if you want it done right you have to do it yourself!I am still using CD-2, but I can tell you what other folks are using with success: Stoner Trim Shine, Meguiar's Hyper-Dressing, Pig Spit, Adam's In & Out Spray, and 303 Protectant. Thank you but if you look closly in the photo there is still quite a bit of dirt. Look at the cruise control servo, lower right hand of the air box....... I am pretty particular and by the time I am done most of the components will be removed cleaned, repainted if needed then reinstalled with new OEM bolts/hardware. I want it to look better than new if at all possible. I probably won't dive into it unit I move foward on the new FI project so I figured a little dressing would be a staring point.
No joke, Meguair's natural shine last very long and people keep asking me if I got new hoses, plastics, etc...
O forgot to mention how good it looks on tires, isn't shiny, last long, and doesn't gunk up so every new application it's as if your tires were pre cleaned and ready for fresh application. Regular tire shine gunks up and each applications becomes less black and more dull and spotty.
