Default Engine Degreaser

Hey guys I've searched and have only came up with a few threads from along time ago that rave about expired products for detailing the engine bay. What do you guys use for the actual engine block. I have gunk all over the pass side of my block from the dump tube and was wanting to know what's the safest product to use to clean it? Thanks guys!

P21S Total Auto Wash will work or Adam's All Purpose Cleaner

Dress it up with Adam's In and Out Spray

Will these products tarnish aluminum, bc I'd like to clean the intake manifold as well. Also, which of the two would be better for my particular grime/carbon build up?

If used carefully on unpainted surfaces, brake cleaner will destroy grease and dries fast.
For aluminum use polish and a buffer on a regular basis.

Go to your local walmart and look in the cleaning area for a product called Awesome. I use it everywhere on my car. It works amazing.

simple green for me. Bought it on amazon and then I used engine dresser to give the engine bay a nice and shiny coat to it

P21S TAW is the safest cleaner you can use. It is the only one I use when cleaning engines and have cleaned everything from iron, aluminum, titanium and carbon fiber with the stuff. Never any damage left behind as it is really a well developed product that is extremely safe to use.
