Default fender scratch

well, my first weekend with the s2k i hit a couple birds while passing an RV on the pacific coast highway. two hit the windshield, the other did a two hopper from the fender to the windshield. the windshield is fine, the birds appeared to fly away, the lady and i were scare ****less.... but the s2k has a nice scratch on the front right fender. it's on the metal, not the bumper itself, about 4" long and definitely through the clearcoat and into, if not through the paint. the scratch appears white in certain lights and dark in others.

i tried touch up paint with the touch up paint remover (which is supposed to remove all the paint except whats in the scratch itself) and was not pleased with the results. is there any way to take care of this other than repainting the entire fender, which i don't want to do on such a new car? my s2k is sebring silver.

thanks in advance for any suggestions.

There are some repair places that will airbrush the scratch out. Makes it look much nicer than the brush touch up, but I think you can still tell it's there. Just nto as noticeable.
