Gross gross leather...
alright guys well i have a bit of a problem.... i think to my best guess is that the previous owner of the car wiped down part of the steering wheel and drivers door panel with something other than a leather care product... something that pretty much turned my leather into dried raisins. iv been using the leather stuff lexol but have seen no improvements... is there any hope for my leathers? anything i should try to really restore it?
which lexol are you using?
if you are using the cleaner only, thats the problem...
if you are using the preservative it should eventually bring it back- or townsends would be a good choice if you still need a preservative.

If you feel this is an extreme case (it sure sounds like it), you may want to give Leatherique's kit a shot, if Lexol isn't cutting it (Lexol is quite mild). For extreme applications, it would be best if you can leave the car out-of-commission for a day or two, and use repeated applications.

I would first try to clean off the old gunk, with a 10:1 or 4:1 APC. After you have done that I would use some "poorboysworld leather stuff"

The instructions say for very bad cases, you can rub this stuff on with your hands, work it into the leather, and let it set over night. Then come back and buff out the remaining residue. I would say after 2-3 "overnight" applications, your interior parts should have a major improvement. Let us know how it goes. And lets see some before & afters if possible.
