How do I know when I've worked a product fully?
While most products SAY to make sure the panels are cool, it has been my experience that a good number of people don't do this.
You don't need to switch products. I would just learn how to use what you have. The PB stuff does work in the sun but I have always avoided doing that as it just does not seem like a great idea to me. Putting on sun-safe wax in the sun is one thing but actually polishing...I just don't know.
Mixing in the glaze is not a big deal. You simply take a bottle and fill to a certain percentage with your polish and then with the glaze. Shake it up and go to work. I find that with most products, a ratio of 6:1 (polish:glaze) seems to work ok. You will need to mess with the ratio to get the results you need. I have seen people do 3:1 before also. Also, be aware that since you are using an oil/lubricant-rich glaze you will want to do a 50/50 wipedown or similar cleaning step prior to going to your wax or sealant.

Here's a pretty good thread with pictures.

Thanks for the advice. I know working in the sun isn't ideal, but it seems better than not caring for the car at all. I try to work in the shade as much as possible, but it isn't always possible.
You are 110% right...it is much better to do something in the sun than nothing at all. I didn't mean to be down on the polishing in the sun thing.
If you want to try some of the PB stuff, drop me a line as I am more than happy to send you some samples.
