How to get rid of tree sap on paint
Hey folks,
I had some sap drip on my car at somepoint a few days ago. While it was still gooey I tried dabbing at it and wiping it off with a tissue. BIG mistake. It got most of it off but the tissue got stuck on the sap. Now it's been at least three days (been busy) and it's hardened.
What's the best way to get rid of this. I have found a few solutions through search (eg: nail varnish, mineral oil) but seems to be really rough on the paint. And if there is a trick to retain the wax...even better.
Thanks!

Rubbing (isopropyl) alcohol is what you want. Period.
Soak a small spot on a microfiber cloth, hold it on the sap for a little while, rub gently. A few applications is usually all it takes to take off even stubborn, old pine sap.
Reapply wax.
