I might try a small mop with the handle cut very short or maybe you guys have a better idea?

 

harder than the soft top as you have found out- best way by far is to lift it or take it off... otherwise you gotta be a contortionist!

move the seats all the way up and fold them forward. then its a little easier to get back there, but still a pia.
