Installing new emblems

Thanks for the advice MuttGrunt.
I never really thought about using clay to get the oxidization off, good idea! I figured I'd be able to get by just using some polishing compound. There's a paint supply place nearby and they also sell different types of clay, I think I'll stop by after work and buy some.

Well, I got the new emblems on and it adds a nice touch with my Time Attack CE28's

I wet sanded the front where the old emblem came off and was able to take down the bumps from the touch-up paint. I tried using clay first but it didnt do too much but I was only using the clay that comes in a Meguiars kit so I wasn't expecting a miracle. I should've picked up some different grits of clay to try out but didn't get a chance to.
