Default Just replaced the top

This is probably a question that has been asked before, but being that I just spent a fair amount cash replacing the softtop on my AP1, I am willing to be risk asking a previously posted question.

I have had my S2000 for four years now, and applied 303 Aerospace Protectant from day one on the top. However, a year and half into ownership, wear cracks began to appear behind the passenger and driver windows. Obviously, replacing the top has provoked a desire to take the steps necessary from having this scenario all over again anytime soon. At the time when the wear began to show, this was my only car and saw the elements of the midwest climate regularly (except snow), now at this time that is not the case.

I will definitely begin using 303 ASAP, but my question is are there other steps I can take to prevent such bad wear and tear on the softtop? She is never in rain or snow, always garaged....but I do tend to love the top down. The installer stated that it would be a good idea to ALWAYS put the top up when done driving it for the day, cooler temperatures overnight will cool the top and stretch the fabric in a stressful manner if putting the top up the next day without proper temperature.

Any tips? Thoughts?

Here is a link to the pics of the damage and the replacement...

do you keep a cloth inside the shelf where the top folds down on? that is the first step-
next step is to throw a really soft mf towel of decent size on the outside of the window when you are putting the top down- this keeps the window from rubbing on its self and also helps avoid creases. dont forget to take the towel off the car when you put the top back up !!

and 303 is a good product for the top- just as plexus is for the rear window.
