Leather help - Does anyone know what can help?
i also like to know. my friend drove my car when i was outta town and scraped the heck outta my steering wheel with his pocket knife. i might just get a wheelskin to cover it up... i don't wanna shell out the cash. how deep are your scratches?
I'm going to try a permanent marker and some more conditioner and see what happens. If it doesn't work, I'll just send it in to Rick's and have it re- wrapped with a little extra padding.
Thanks,
Roger

The steering wheel can be repaired very easily. If you go with a reputable company you should be fine. The leather being black, it will be very easy to do. If you would like, I can try to find a technician in your area...
Hey, Detailers Domain, I noticed you were in Northern, NJ, I am down in the Red Bank area. It seems like from your response you haven't had good luck with the leather refinishing/repairs. Drop me a line if you ever need anything, I would be glad to be of assistance.

Uh oh, just saw the marker comment, if you want to do it yourself, there is a finish that can be rubbed into the area. This will replace the finish, not just dye out the leather. let me know if you want to give it a try.
