Default Light scratches on the windshield

My new S's windshield is completely covered by light scratches in the direction of the windshield wipers. It looks like someone poured sand on the windshield and turned the wipers on. can anyone recommend me a simple product to apply to remove the scratches. thanks in advance

Replacement windshield - actually my understanding is that replacement is the only solution if you can feel the scratches with your fingernail. If you rub your nail across the scratch and feel it a glass shop won't be able to buff out the scratches. I know there are some kits you can get online to buff out some scratches. It is easy enough to search for. I am not sure who on here has tried and or had sucess with them. Hopefully someone will chime in.

you might be able to get some improvement with glass polish and a machine. actual scratches will not improve much, but much of what is on glass is lime or other chemical deposits. glass polish can get those.

as g said, if they are real scratches and especially if you can catch an edge with your fingernail, you prob wont be able to do a lot with polishing.

I been wondering about this also. On my daily driver (TSX), there are quite alot of light swirl marks as to put it. You can't feel them with the fingernail. But when the afternoon sun shines through it looks like crap.

Will something like Zaino glass polish, a PC and orange cutting pad do the trick?

Eastwood Company is the only one making products specifically for glass restoration. Not cheap, but effective.

For like water stains or streaks, I am not sure if the shin etsu grease from my hard top dripped over my passenger side window at some point I can see drip marks on the window that reg glass cleaner wont take out.

Would a glass polish do the trick any recommendations?
