Default A little rotary magic

I picked up a new beater civic and although it is in excellent mechanical condition, the paint has been neglected for 9 years.

I've only done the hood. The hood took about an hour. It isn't going to be perfect because of the rock chips and damaged clear coat in some areas but a big improvement from where it was. You can clearly see the damage the bra caused. Started with a 7.5" orange pad on my rotary with 3m Perfect-It III Rubbing Compound, then switched to Optimum Polish on a 7.5" orange pad. I followed that up with Optimum Polish on a 6" white pad with the PC. The last step removed one holographic swirl I left with the rotary near the hood dip. There is no LSP yet. It's so hard to take pictures of this stuff but you get the idea.

Excellent work demonstrating the results of working with multiple machines for multiple purposes

What do you have planned for LSP?

I'm going to guess sealant, since it's going to be a daily beater...

I don't want to LSP this thing all the time so i'll probably go with Zaino Z2 pro or Poorboys Ex-P.

You can polish a turd but this turd has about 6-8 more hours of polishing to go. I might need a more aggressive polish. I haven't needed anything above 6 on the aggressiveness scale for quite a while.
