Ok I know this might not be the most appropriate place for this thread but since I spend most of my time in this part of the site and most of you guys/girls like to keep your cars in good shape, what is your opinion on extended warranties.

I was considering purchasing an 8 year 84k mile warranty from HondaPartsDeals.com

My friend purchased one and said it is the same as close to the factory as you will get.

Has anyone purchased any type of extended warranty.

The price is $750. I thought it would be a good investment. I had an Integra for 7 years and the last 15-18 months of ownership were not fun. I probably dumped over 2k into it.

 

i have one... never used it-
only reason i got it is cause it was the first model year.
its a honda, ya know!!

if you get one, nothing will ever go wrong with your car.
if you dont get one, your car will break down as soon as the normal warranty is up!
actually, just kidding- for $750, if it is good coverage, its also peace of mind that is prob worth it-

(i will leave this here as long as i dont get complaints about it not being a w&w)

 

Thanks! I probably will go ahead and do it. Do you know offhand if I have a certain timeframe to purchase it? I suppose I could call and find out.
