Was able to get rid of this one completely using an 8006 Meguiare's 6.5" pad with Meguiare's Ultimate Compound on a DA polisher! Followed up with some Mother's carnuba wax.

Good work. Take your time and check out some detailing sites. These sites can show you the proper techniques for using a D/A when compounding, polishing and applying final protectant. I used the Porter for years now I have a Flex. I detailed over 150 vehicles with the Porter.

if you use ultimate compound, follow it up with ultimate polish on a finishing black megs pad. then re apply wax of your choice

Thanks, will do. I have the the meg's polish product already I think I just got lazy (which is a stupid thing for me to do...)

I'm ready to start tackling some of the paint chips. I've heard that finding some original GPW paint can be a pain, and that sometimes getting a bottle of 'old inventory' can be worse than someone whipping up a fresh batch.

Anyone have any recommendations on the direction I should go on getting the paint?

Thanks!

I have had excellent success with this firm as far as paint matching. Do buy the entire kit including the clear or you won't be completely satisfied with the end result. Also, they are great resource for how to/DIY touchups. If I had one word of advice, prep is the key to any paint project.

Awesome, thanks. I just bought a full kit from these guys and will hopefully be able to start next weekend and will take my time to make sure I do it right. I'm pretty patient
