Default Need some input on products for correction

Right now I am thinking of going with Menzerna SIP w/ a LC CCS Orange pad. Then hitting it with Menzerna Finishing Polish with the LC CCS Blue pad and the Menzerna Powerlock with the LC CCS Grey pad. The topping it all off with Autogym HD Wax.

Just wanting to find out if the products and pads I paln to use will result in good correction. If not what would you suggest with the pads I have. I have a NFR and it needs some serious TLC. It has some nice swirls, water spots and the paint seems faded. I'm using a 7424xp.

Thanks.

Nope all sounds good. You may need a few passes with SIP to get all clean up first. You can spot work a spot after the 1st pass if needed. I would suggest maybe using a LC White pad in place of the blue, it adds a bit more to the cut but the Menzerna brakes down finer as you work it so it will finish down nice. Don't forget an IPA wipe down before sealing it up!

Don't be alarmed if your pads turn red as you work, the clear is tinted on the NFRs and transfers to the pads. Also the paint can be soft and sticky specially with a heavy cut pass so be on the watch for it. Diluted IPA helps pull the compound off the car and watch that area as it will likely have marred and needs a few extra light finishing passes to remove.

I use the same finishing combo on some of my customers cars and it holds up very well. I toss Prima Amigo on before sealing just to help fill any minor imperfections.

Here is an '03 I did last year

EDIT: Photos only partially work by the links are still good.

Instead of doing a IPA wipe down, can I use a quick detailer?

You will want to do a 50/50 mix of IPA 91% and distilled water. Qs can leave a coating that you want to remove before sealing to allow for good paint bonding. That being said Menzerna Top Inspection is ok to use prior but is expensive compared to a $2 mix of IPA.

45% IPA is seems pretty strong. The numbers I heard were 10-20% IPA.

Can anyone confirm this? I would hate to do any damage to the paint.

^ You won't damage the paint I have used that concentration for years with no issues. The water is a carrier for the IPA so it doesn't flash off so fast. Dilute it more if you want; it just will take longer to flash off.
