Rule #1 of being a wash & wax wacko . . .
1. Never take your car to your dealership for cosmetic issues unless they are replacing the part.
If they offer to "fix" it then run for the hills. Chances are they'll likely make things worse.

Tim
sux about that, hopefully some of the advice works out for you.
in addition to the "anti-dealer camp," unfortanately, it is true that
they wont get it as tight as factory, or it could be several attempts
before they get it right.
so, its kinda a crap shoot; just something to consider as well

I dont have a solution but maybe something to think about for the future. Put you wallet in the glove box or the little thing infront of the passenger seat like I do mine. To me it appears that was caused by your wallet. my .02

yep that is the sucker....carrying walet in your back pocket is not recomended by the doctors either, causes some bone damage in the long run!
I was wondering about this myself, as my MY04 I just bought with ~22000 miles has this problem on the bottom of the drivers seat, maybe from the previous owner, I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one... maybe I'll try the massaging and hair dryer, hopefully that'll help... Thanks guys!!
I guess I'm going to be in the minority here. I don't think that this little stretch looks so bad. Tomorrow I'll go out to the street and check my car. It probably looks the same or simular to yours.
I wouldn't bother with it. No matter what you do, it'll probably return in quick fashion and you'll be continually frustrated trying to rid or fix it. All leather is going to stretch through wear and this does not necessarily detract from the looks of your interior.
Keep the leather clean and dressed with your favorite products and forget about it.
Nothing fits as good as a pair of leather shoes except a pair of "broken" in leather shoes. If you believe this to be true, your seats should become even more comfortable as time goes by.

I started getting this problem after about 7k miles on my new car (now worse at 23k miles). The heat method works, but the results go away after sitting in the seat once. I weigh 175lbs and never have anything in my back pockets when I sit.
I'm convinced that the leather sucks and should be replaced under warranty. Too bad no dealers agree with me.
