Default Odd Paint Spots - Updated

Last month I started noticing this paint spot that is completely smooth but it looks white usually and then has a rainbow effect when under direct sunlight. I didn't mind it too much as I thought a few passes of a clay bar would take care of it. But after claying my car two weeks ago I still have that same spot and then I just noticed three more of these spots all around my antenna area.

Anyone else have issues like this? How would I go about removing these without compounding? Would polishing take it off?

Here is the best pic I could get in a over cast day. It looks white now but when the sun hits it it turns into a rainbow colored spot.

you are not posting a pic that i can work with... your pic seems fine, but i need to blow it up to inspect your damage.
since you are a member you can post in your personal gallery and i can blow it up and look at it closely.
from what you posted, i cant tell whats goin on.
you can try polishing- that might get it.

if its a clear coat problem, polish wont help (it will thin it more).

i suggest that you post in your gallery here...
can you "feel" the spot (either with your finger tips or finger nails)? you said its smooth, so i am guessing not.
without a blow up pic, my best guess is clear coat problem.

There was a spec in the center but I've removed it but the white spot around it stayed. I feel like its a clear coat issue, I just don't know how deep it is. I was just curious because I didn''t know how common of an issue it is. I don't think polishing will help because I took a claybar and rubbed at it for a while.

Thanks Wanabe, here are some pics.

I can't figure out how to show the image on the thread for the pics posted in my galley.]

dont use fast reply- use reply and at the bottom of the window that your message is typed in is a place to bring up your gallery. you can choose pics from there.

i went to your gallery and blew up the pics... unfortunately that did not tell me anything.
again, guessing- but it looks like something struck your paint - did not leave a dent, but damaged the clear coat (kinda like damage to plastic).
any wackos live near you ?
if so, someone might be able to identfiy this in person... another choice is to take it to a body shop and see what they say.

It looks like the clear is coming off the paint. My 91 Acura has the same thing.

I was really afraid of that. I was applying wax the other day and at an odd angle I could see area on the fenders and top of the doors where the clear was almost lifting off.....what do I do about that??? Would Honda cover this under warranty? My warranty expired last week!!

Has anyone had this clearcoat issue? I'm really worried I'm gonna get hit with a large bill for having to re-clear the whole car

This is my worst nightmare since I take so much care of the paint!!
