I've done that in the past. Because of the size of the Porter Cable, it's difficult to use it for the inside of the rear window, but it does work. Made cleaning and polishing the rear window much easier.

I just tried it using Meguires Plastic Polish and my Porter-Cable. I masked off the exterior of the top so I wouldn't get residue from the polish where I don't want it.Worked great on the outside,inside I could only reach 75% of the window. Flexing of plastic window is no problem, it's going to flex when you clean it by hand anyhow so I don't see why that would pose a problem.
