Default sap on soft top

well short story, i just moved into a new townhouse (no garrage) and well there's a pine tree right in front of my house (which i'm in the works of getting cut down).... well this thing drops sap like no other and i've got a couple of spots on the soft top that i can't seem to get off...

I didn't wash the car for about 2 weeks when i moved, so i'm not sure how long the sap has been on the top... and well when i washed my car and did the normal thing with the top, the sap would not come off.. (i just used a washmit)

does anyone know what i could do? to get this sap off my soft top??

That stinks about the tree. I would have taken a chain saw to it immediately if it dropped sap on my car. Anyway, you should be able to get it off w/ some 303 vinyl convertible top cleaner. Spray it on and let it sit for a few minutes, scrub it with a tooth brush in a circular pattern, wash it off, and poof it should be gone like magic.

o.k.- if the above doesnt work, you get to the weird stuff...

peanut butter (smooth- i warm it in the microwave a couple of minutes first) or if that doesnt work, hair spray-
with a soft toothbrush, just to make this more weird!!!

(and i really am not kidding)
try a small area first- if it gets it, then move onto the whole stain.
then be sure to use a good vinyl product on the top to protect it.

We don't have Track Auto where I live, but I can tell you Pep Boys does not stock 303 Products. I got my 303 Vinyl Top Cleaner from sportscarcare.com. Also, I would recommend against using a kitchen cleaner as some of them contain bleach.
