Default Should I polish/wax my brand new car?

my car is two weeks old (mazdaspeed3) and already have some scratches.
Should I just polish the area with the scratch or just do the whole car?
I just bought PC and menzerna polishes.
I was wondering if it is not recommended to polish and wax a new car...or it doesn't matter..

imo you should first inspect and then handle the issues you see with the inspection.
i often polish only the "topside" of a car- the sides usually are not as bad as the tops. so my answer is yes, you can just polish the parts that need it- and...
absolutely should wax a new car asap.

and any car can be polished - and should be any time it needs it.

If the car was DIRECT from the factory, correct me if I am wrong, but is there not some cure time? I know when mine was repainted, I had to wait 2 months for the paint to cure.

How are you liking your MS3? It was my 2nd choice after the s2k, much more pratical.

There is no cure time for factory paint. In the factory, the paint is baked at a much higher temperature than what they can do at a body shop which almost instantly cures the paint.

I love the car. a lot of torque and power almost anytime any rpm...don't have to downshift as much as S2000 which makes you a lazy driver. (you might actually forget how to down shift hahaha)
Not quite as fun as S2000 but still very fun car to drive with practicality and nice design, in my opinion.

I agree with Mikey. First step is inspection after a good wash. On my wife's new Civic Si, I then clayed the car. You would be surprised at all of the contaminents that they pick up in transit. After that, correct any swirl marks with the buffer and product of your choice. Then use a good paint sealant. I haven't gotten past the sealant stage on her car yet.
