If you are applying 303 on your top, and you live in a climate like the UK where it can rain every day or every other day, a good wipe-off of the 303 after application is a great idea. In my climate, it can go for weeks without rain --- and my s2k isn't really my "rain car" anyway. Thus, the 303 stays on my top for a week or more after aplying before being exposed to water. Amazing thing about 303 is that it seems to just keep on soaking into the vinyl. So after a week or more, I get very little "while stuff" running off --- even if I wash the car with a brush. So clearly, climate makes a big difference in application methods.

Thanks for the "heads up!"
