Default Using 303 on 2004 Top

Hey, I just purchased the 303 Convertible Top Kit and after using it I can see streak marks on one side as well as below the rear window where I am guessing it wasn't spread out evenly on the top. Has anyone had this happen before or know how to fix it? I am guessing maybe respray the entire top and try to get it as evenly covered as possible?

If anyone can give me tips on this and their general process of cleaning the top that would be great. Thanks.

yup- you got it... sorta

do not apply 303 to the top- you should soak a rag away from the car. on a clean top (i use a brush and car shampoo, but have used top cleaners too- i prefer the body shampoos), apply plenty of product. i apply lots and leave it while i do other parts of the car. then i come back and buff it all out with a clean rag. sometimes i buff it twice if i think i might not have gotten it all (if i need to buff it twice i will often use another new rag).
give it a try and post back here the results

Thanks man....so do you actually spray off the top with the hose or just take a rag and buff it without spraying the top?

you are welcome-

yup, rinse the entire car when you are doing the top (i only do my top once a year, cause its usually under the boot)-

wash the top first then wash the rest of the car... rinse top first then the rest of the car.
dry top first then the rest of the car (you can prob see i always go upper surfaces first then work my way down the car)

after the car is dry, the top gets the 303 or vinylex treatment.

hope that helps!
