wash n wax... a users guide
the wash n wax forum has some very basic rules and an even more basic format:
--first the rules:
we are a small community of friends. we share. we help each other. and if you are not yet part of "we", you will be soon!! the most basic rule is that when you post, be friendly... post as though you are talking to your family, cause you are or will soon be (we adopt easily).
there is no such thing as a "dumb question". if you have a question, no matter how basic, it is likley we had that question ourselves before, so now we have the answer... but you gotta post it so we can pass that answer on to you.
--next the format:
1. our "how-tos", "where to get". and so on type of threads are in the "stickies" in the section near the top of our board.
2. our "show off" section is in the "show off" link (very top of the board)... kinda like a black hole. check it out- but be sure to dig your way out and back to the w&w !
3. and the "main" board is where we ask and answer any usual, unusual and weird type of question, or anything else that you might want to share.
by far the most important rule = have fun! we all got here out of some desire that ended with the joy of detailing a car into a better than new condition. and we love to share that joy.
any questions, suggestions, etc. feel free to pm the moderator of this board!

Purchased a 2005 S2000 last July, bringing it out of it's winter slumber and want to give it a good cleaning/detail. Just wondering what other owners are using for car care products on their S2000's,
Was told by the previous owner that he seldom washed it, only used a damp cloth for cleaning. Did not wax it, clear coat finish and used only a spray detailer, surf city garage protective detailer??, Meguires mirror glaze synthetic sealant. Have not located either of these yet. Not sure what the material the top is made of and wondering what to use on it for cleaning and protecting.
Thanks in advance for your replies, Russ
