Surprising becasue my mitts still look like new. I simply rinse them completely, ring it out, shake it then delicate cycle on my dryer for 20 minutes..... nice and fluffy.

I don't dry them in the dryer everytime. I do notice when I do they become much more fluffy and soft. However, each time I put them in the dryer they seem to get lint-y with their own hairs because they have loosened and fallen out. This is on the gentlest setting of my dryer.
I hope the shmitt lives up to the hype.
Another vote for the Sonus ultimate wash mitt. Especially since it's only $6 now. But as pretty much everyone has reiterated, you really can't go wrong buying a wool mitt anywhere. Just make sure you don't get ripped off - I wouldn't spend more than $15 (and that's probably too much already).
Used the shmitt this past weekend... excellent wash mitt. I can't comment on the less-marring since my car has some light swirling on it from past washes, but when I was going panel by panel there was noticeably less dirt on the mitt then on a sheepskin. I also don't know where those guys were saying you waste less wash water dripping on the way to the car... seems to drip about the same =p. It also didn't seem to dry as fast as a sheepskin mitt, but then again I didn't throw them in a dryer. Overall I was happy with the mitt, but I found I was more surprised at this sucker:

A must have. I had a couple very light scratches I wanted to scratchx out so I bought the "pal" and used the orange pad... very comfortable.
Also, used it to put some gold class on there until I can do a full winter prep next week. It was very comfortable and you don't have to worry about getting the pad dirty since you just place it on the ground with the handle end.
oh yeah... mike thanks for the QD drying tip... definately seemed like the drying process went alot smoother.

I currently have the Griots garage sheep skin and also a 5$ auto zone sheep skin mit, i think im more pleased with the cheap mit in the begining the girots garage mit was exceptional but know its starting to leave some hair behind(which a 25 dollar mit(shipped)) should not do the cheap mit which i have had for the same amount of time doesn't leave hair and has held up nicely looks like the pakshak mit. So i dont think im going to order another griots mit(even though I got a gift certificate for christmas which bought it).

I got my best mitts from Excel Detail. They are the "pick of the litter" so to speak. I believe Patrick goes through and sorts out the good ones, the better and the best. AND they're very reasonably priced ($7.49 for "heavy" mitts and 3/$15 for his austrailian mitts).

I haven't been fishing in many many years (at least drop line fishing).
