Default Wet sanding wheels

I was going to be fixing a few rock chips, and I know my wheels are not exactly in the best shape. I was curious if any one knows if there is enough clear to wetsand with 3000 grit and polish them up.

Polish will smoothen out 1200 grit, so 3000 shouldn't be a problem.

I've been trying to find a 3000 grit with no luck.

If I was the OP I will fill in the holes with matching paint then smoothen down fill with a fine grit then polish back to match rest of wheel.

This has been done on hoods before with great results.

Let me know how it works out. What color do you plan on using for paint? might be tough to match.

no im not going to paint them. I want to get a light scuff out and just shine them up. I basically want to do what one would do if they had a bit if a deaper scratch in their paint on a body panel.

3000 is very light. You'll need to start more aggressive and work toward 3000 if you can find it.

Ahh, you mentioned fix rock chips. Which to me requires filling.
