engine detailer from autozone or wherever. they sell one that you just spray on and dont have to wash off or anything. Im too scared to try it, but would like to know how to clean my engine bay too.

I use my pressure washer, if you have oil and other stains then you will need degreaser and spray it first, when the engine is slightly warm.

After you pressure wash it then dry all of the wires / plugs off with a compressor.

Make sure you cover your air filter and after your done then take off the spark plug cover and wires and make sure theres no water in there, then take off your air box cover and wipe it down in there cause water usually gets in.

Don't start your car for a few hours and you should be good.

Maybe we should all have a detail day?

Hope this helps you guys........

i used gunk engine cleaner.

1st, drive the car around till its warm.
2nd, cover the alternator with a plastic bag.
3rd, turn car off.. and spray the gunk in on the greasy spots, and let it sit
4th, use a hose and spray the stuff off make sure you dont spray it too hard and the stuff gets on your paint.
5th, repeat 3 and 4 then wipe down with a rag
6th, i used tire shine on the hoses and valve cover.
