www.hondaautomotiveparts.com usually beats every vendor including hardtop guy for oem parts.

Well, its now 2 weeks since I last heard from HTG on 6th June. My order was placed on the 20th April.

PM from 6th June
Chris,
Sorry. Things have been so hetic here. I took a job as Parts Manager for the local Acura store and as part of the deal I'm using their Honda store in Wisconsin to get all my Honda parts from. Well it hasn't gone exactly as I had planned. There were things I assumed would happen and they didn't. It's been taking me a week to get the parts and I think I have finally got that resolved.
I'm headed home to ship your order right now. It will be in the post shortly and I will email you the tracking info.
I apologize for the delay.
If I had it to do over I would have been more through in my research on the changes I made.
I promise I'll make it up to you on the next order.
Thanks,
Jeff
So far I haven't received any tracking info, nor have I seen the goods.

I've only got a few days before I have to escalate my paypal dispute to arbitration.

I've PM'd HTG for an update, but there is no picture and no sound.

Receiving my 4.77 final drive tom. I talked to him and he said things are looking better and things should be on track again.

I heard back from Jeff on 6/12/09, he mentioned that he would get my order out ASAP and sent me some defroster install and top install directions, but I havent seen any of my parts yet. He is a nice guy, thats for sure and I hope things have turned around.

Yea don't worry guys, he will send you the parts, the only question is when. I waited about 2 months to get mine and as far as my previous orders were concerned, he was very prompt. After he becomes acclimated to his new environment, I'm sure things will work out. The only variable you have to worry about at the moment is speed of delivery. He won't scam anyone.

BTW. PM is never something you want to us to communicate with a Vendor.

As a rule, buyers never tell you who they are, what they ordered, etc via PM. So that doubles the amount a work a vendor has to do to answer your questions. I.E. he has to reply to ask you questions, before he can reply with the answer to your questions. That is 2 times the PM volume.

E-Mail is always best as a primary form of communications with a vendor. Use your words. I.E. I placed on order on X date, for X item and my order number is X. Then ask your questions. If all of the above is in an e-mail that I get, I can answer it from my Smartphone without looking anything up. But as you start to drop that info, you add to my work to get you that answer. So if your e-mail states" Hey, wat up wit my order dawg!" it takes a lot of work just to figure out who you are and find your order, if I can."

Now, I am not say that it is too much work, but you want fast answers, help the vendor get them for you.

Note: the above is my personal experience only. Not a Complaint, just an observations
