My Experiences with HardTopGuy
Okay, I cannot explain what Jeff chooses to put in his e-mail signature, nor can I speak for Jeff's suppliers.
I am sure that it is no different than when you order an ACT lightened flywheel from Jeff, and he has it drop-shipped directly from ACT the packing slip reads ACT, but Jeff is not their employee and they are not responsible for him. It is no different with Gary, Boyland Honda and Jeff. Gary & Boyland Honda have merely chosen to supply Jeff with OEM Honda parts (Jeff is in Cleveland, OH and Boyland Honda is in WI).
I have made Gary aware of, not this thread as he isn't involved with this board directly, but rather the vocal concern about Jeff's business. This is why I asked and encouraged Gary to have Jeff call me and I'm volunteering to try to help make Jeff aware of the current discontent in case he somehow is not (or is ignoring it, whatever...).
My personal suggestions are to:
1. Do not order from HTG until or unless this episode gets resolved.
2. Do not flood Boyland Honda with calls about past unfulfilled orders as they were likely taken before Jeff's association with them. If we create too much hassle for Boyland about things which they had nothing to do with, they may pull the plug on Jeff and this merry-go-round may never stop.
3. If I (or anyone) get lucky enough to get personal contact with Jeff, he and he alone is the one who needs to be made aware of this thread and deal with the situation. Everyone else (Boyland, ACT, etc.) are merely wholesalers to Jeff and offer drop-ship service so that parts don't cross the country twice on their journey.
Again, I'm not making apologies, and I have little invested in this. I'm just trying to help us all, and not lose what has historically been a positive resource to us.

I ordered from Hardtopguy last week and received my order today. It was a small item from Puddy and it was shipped directly from Puddy. The dollar amount was small, and I was willing to chance the idea of losing the cash.
Regarding the problems many people are having - something personal must be up with Jeff. He has had a great reputation for a long time and has proven himself to be a valuable resource here. I hope people are willing to give him a second chance, if he is able to get past whatever is going on and communicate with customers. I'd be willing to order big ticket items from him (I have in the past) if he was willing to reach out.
I understand that people are mad about being ignored, but something serious must be going on with him.

Many of us are in hopes that HTG is on the way back to total respectability. I think the majority of us here at s2ki have dealt successfully with HTG and would greatly appreciate the ability to continue doing business with him.
I think a second thread should be started and restricted to those who have an outstanding order of 30 days or more and that these customers respond to this thread each time their order HAS been recieved and/or to post all successful communication regarding such orders.
As I see it, if it were done this way, everyone could measure weather HTG is commited to total customer satisfaction or then again, ,maybe he isn't. Either way , everyone deserves to know.

mega stream,
As I tried to explain before, overseas shipping from the US is a different animal. Usually most of HTG's orders get shipped to the customer directly from the specific supplier (ACT, Boyland Honda [now], etc.).
For overseas shipments, due to customs, duties, etc., I postulate (as I don't know for sure) that Jeff has all items sent to him and then he re-packages them and deals with the international shipping.
I don't know of any US Honda Dealership or Parts department that is willing to get into overseas shipments themselves.
