heres my situation.

im actually the seller. i sold at set of volk ce28n to a member. his member name is S2kallDAY916. he pmed me and said:

" Hi,
Do you still have the volk wheels for sale? If so, I wanted to offer $1900 and I take care of shipping. Let me know if this is okay by emailing me at ebaylynny916@hotmail.com , i rarely check my PM's.

thanks
Jim Huynh"

so i proceeded to email him. i didnt want to ship the wheels to cali but he was going to arrange for shipping. btw im in virginia. so i agreed. on march 17 i recieved the agreed payment amount through paypal. so i notified him that got the money and then he sent out the shipping labels. once i recieved the labels i slapped them on the box then called DHL to come pick it up. they came and picked them up from my work, so everyone in my office saw them get it. that was that and now im done. i did my part right. wrong. on june 22 i got an email from paypal saying that Jim Huynh has done a chargeback. he claims he never recieved the wheels. im like wtf. so i email paypal back and the say there gonna investigate the matter. well they concluded that they are going to issue him the chargeback and now i owe paypal over 2gs.

i wouldnt be in this mess if i would have kept the packing slip and his emails. but i threw all that stuff away afew weeks ago. i called the shipping company and the said they cant track the package without a tracking # or account #. and then they said they couldnt track it that far back. i recently emailed him to see if he still has the info but no response. infact he never tried to contact me at all. i know i would if i didnt get the rims in 3 months. i also did a search on this forum to see if he tried posting anything about this. and there was nothing. he didnt seem too angry that he didnt get the wheels. unless he knew he was gonna do this from the start. i even went back to my phone records to try to contact him. i called every number i called to cali but most of them were performace shops. and the other 2 #s nobody picked up.

this all seems like bs. this guy waited over 3 months to do a chargeback and he didnt try to contact me within that time. if any of you know this guy or know how i can contact him please let me know. if infact that he didnt recieve the wheels then its the shipping companies fault. and since he supplied the shipping labels, he should know the tracking and account info. he live in the sacromento area. but i dont know exactly were. the wheels are gold ce28n volks with a polished lip. by his name im pretty sure he veitnamese. any info would be greatly apreciated.

this is a new type of scam were the seller gets ed.

in conclusion:
-i owe paypay over 2gs
-i dont even have the wheels
-im pretty sure this guy got a free set of volks
-and i have a huge headache

That sucks. I would never use paypal to buy or purchase large items or any items for that matter.
I would honestly tell paypal or who ever they are to pack sand. Peace. I wouldnt pay them shit. I would piss glass before they got a cent of my earned money.
Sorry I got carried away but I dislike paypal and there 3%. All I ever hear is complaints about them.

Seriously though. As far as I am concerned I would go after the guy since he has my wheels and didnt pay for them. Thats stealing any way you look at it and yes it does happen and its been happening more and more on this site. Is there anyway you can find or retrieve any of your evidence? Is TITS still around? Maybe they can help.
if paypal decides to try to take anything from my account, there gonna be real surprised when they find out that ive taken all my money out. i ve requested that they reopen my case but they havent replied back. as far as im concerned, paypal can suck my nuts.

ive been trying, but i cant come up with anything. thats why i tried to contact him and maybe he can help, if infact he didnt get the wheels. so basiclly im giving him the benefit of the doubt. but it looks like hes just a scammer.

if i ever find out where he lives, im on the next plane to cali.

what is TITS?

This is why you should always withdraw your Paypal funds to your bank account after receiving payment from the buyer. I'm assuming you didn't do that?

Still doesn't excuse the fact that both Paypal and this "buyer" humped you, though. Keep fighting...

Man, that blows!

If you ever accept paypal payments...you should follow by their guidelines so there is liability for the seller.

1. Send item to confirm paypal address only.
2. Never allow customer pick up with paypal payment, that's a nono. It's tough to track an item sometimes due to this particular reason.
3. ALWAYS keep proof of all paper work, shipping labels, slips, etc.
4. AlWAYS transfer funds out of your paypal account.

Paypal is convenient, but it's a disadvantage for the seller big time. They will always favor the buyer even if it's their fault. That's pretty much the only thing shitty with paypal.

Paypal sells their debt to the collection agency. Basically right now his paypal account shows an negative balance and he "owes" paypal the money.

First line of defense, my paypal comes right out of my American Express card. I had a situation like this, but not for nearly as much money. I called AMEX and told them what paypal was trying to do, they kindly said they would take care of it, and the charge was put back on my credit card. And that's the last I heard of it.

But yes, paypal isn't perfect you just need to take the steps that "I don't wait...: suggested and I suggest using a Amex card to link it to, and just pay the transfers that paypal does on your monthly Amex bill.

As to your current situation DHL does keep records on all shipments for up to a year I believe. And they can track shipments going to a location (address). In other words, if you can get someone that is authorized to do so. They can tell you everything they've delivered to that address over the past year.

why can't DHL track the package if you give them the ship date, from where it shipped, and where it shipped to??
