Bought a used WLaurent sub-enclosure and sub from LVGPWhite (aka Jimmy of Las Vegas) on 12/7. Completed the payment the same day, and Jimmy states he would send out as soon as he gets the funds. PM him right after I made the payment, and then again on 12/8. However, I didn't get a response until 12/9 stating that he just got the pm and will send the box soon. I had gotten worried as he responded rather quickly before the deal. All seemed well now.

On 12/14 I receive the box and sub...excited to install the box, I quickly open it. Ok...enclosure...sub...hmmm...where's the mounting strap? Rummage through the box...nope, not there. PM Jimmy immediately. These were the ensuing pms:

Whew, glad he responded. However...

and...

It's now the 29th, and STILL NO response. It was a simple strap, but it's the PRINCIPLEof the matter. When you sell something, INCLUDE everything that goes with it. If something is missing, tell the other person. If you forgot to send a part, SEND it!! DON'T make a promise and NOT follow through. That's bad business, and not very appreciated.
While I agree with you, things come up that are sometimes more important than shipping something off, such as out of town for the holidays, working overtime, family matters/issues, military deployment, or a part that came off of the car need OEM part replacements that may take up to 3 weeks to get them. Stuff happens and you have to be aware of that.. Give it another week. Try waiting a 18 months for a rollcage or 6 months for new wheels..

[QUOTE=gary_phd,Dec 29 2005, 12:25 AM] I don't mind if things come up (as they always seem to do), however, keep the other person apprised of the situation. Particularly, if the deal hasn't been "completed" yet. It shows accountablity and respect for the person with whom you've agreed to the transaction.

If he'd sent a quick email or pm that he wouldn't be able to send it until January or after the holidays, I'd been fine with that.

LOL...now THAT'S a long time!!!

aight.. I got a confession to make:

Recently toofast bought a set of volk wheels from me, excellent buyer, sent payment (on 12/28) promptly right after we spoke on the phone. I told him I was going to ship out his wheels the next day.

However, things got really busy for me because it was the end of the year so I had to ship his wheels out almost a week later (01/04)..

I guess I'm considered the one of the 'bad guys' now.

Bought a set of used OEM seats from NiXON aka. John my money got cleared into his account on the 21st of Dec 2005. he promised to provide me the tracking numbers for the seats right after the money has cleared. Since the 20th of Dec 2005, i've sent him many PMs/emails but NOT ONE reply from him, today is Jan 11th, 2006 still no sign of him. i've filed for a refund of my money and internet fraud, i hope cops will knock on your door! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS GUY!

trying to scam fellow s2k owners is definately not cool.

btw, if anyone selling your OEM black seats. please PM me!

I PM a few hours later

The day after he PM's

A couple hours later in his thread

Later I see his last post, so I PM

And Post

And he ignores me, sells the parts, and closes the thread

Some people like Duc, I only used to. If there was more to it than this he didn't tell me.
Nate
You've got to be kidding me ... you think this justifies DUC being a bad ...

There's been way too many problems with people holding on to items for sale then having the buyer back out at the last minute...

IMO DUC did the right thing ... first come first serve .. regardless if you like it or not
