Official BAD guy thread
Yeah, the shipment was not insured, so I can only recover $100 from UPS, which still puts me out $150. Also, it doesn't look like some of this damage could have been done during shipping, unless someone took a lead pipe to the box or something.
EDIT/UPDATE: I have filed a claim with UPS anyway ... they're picking up the valve cover on Monday, so hopefully it will all be straightened out with them.

I'm 5"4,

Btw, with all this going on, how is it that this person is able to post 2 bikes for sale? If I remember correctly, Nhan used to be an okay guy. Definitely a something-or-other now.

Zach,
The Valve Cover was in perfect condition when I shipped it to you. I have several High Res pictures of the Valve Cover w/ the motor out and how the Valve Cover looked the day before I shipped it out to you. Inline uninstalled the Valve Cover and packaged the Valve Cover.
I had sold several items on the board w/o any complaint. The Valve Cover was the easiest to ship cause of how durable it was. I don't understand how the item was dented. Which leads me to believe that it was installed improperly and which could have cause the several nicks on the powder coat.
I'm sorry I can't refund you the money. I'm 100% sure the Valve Cover was in good condition when it was shipped out to you. I wouldn't mine taking a refund back. Which I refunded several members there money back when they found a better deal.
There is no way I can take the Valve Cover back. I sent it to you in perfect condition, and now its defective. I can't resale the item now cause of the dent. I'm just sorry Zach ... I can't take the hit ..... when I knowingly sent you a good item.

The pictures basically show that it was shipped out in the condition I received it in, which is really sad. If you had posted in your for sale thread that there were minor blemishes all over the valve cover (little scratches and nicks ... I don't know if the dent was there when you shipped it), I wouldn't have bought the valve cover. But, instead you represented it as being in perfect condition except for the fading signature, when your pictures show that it is not in perfect condtion.

Zach,
The picture of the valve cover was posted before you purchased it. If you see the nicks now you should have seen it then.

just want to point out that the valve cover is still on the motor in these pictures. Where are the pictures of the valve cover right before it was packed? If it's possible to dent it during an install...then isn't it possible that this could have been dented during an UNinstall?
The valve cover isn't hard to take out when the motor is out. Just unscrew a couple bolts and pull the valve cover off. You seen the pictures and I shipped valve cover in good condition. We both have gone back and forth about this subject. Unfortunately there is nothing more to do. No refund will be issued.

I have no dog in this fight, but if u represent something is in "perfect" condition, it damn well better be flawless. I don't care what the pictures show. A buyer on this site should be able to take a seller at his word w/out having to pore over digital pics with a microscope.
And btw, the fact that the seller keeps acknowledging that he shipped the valve cover in "good" (no longer "perfect") condition speaks volumes in my mind.
