This only matters if you are like me and want to push your car on those in-between-snow days when the roads are clear but you still have your stupid snow tires on
These are the best bang for the buck, 205's all around. Save your $ for good summer tires

Looks like the Generals are available in a 205/60/16 and 225/55/16. Same width as stock, but slightly larger diameter. That would throw the speedo off by about 3.5%, but would technically give slightly more ground clearance. Hmmmmm.....

The 225/55R16 is not a good size on the S2000. With the 225/55R16 rear and the 205/55R16 front you will throw off the anti lock brakes and gear ratio. Just run the 205/55R16 all the way around.

i was recommended to run the 215/55/16 all the way around. it will be roughly 80bucks cheaper than 225/55/16 to do it this way. Would it perform no problem? and why does the stagger setup like jim says throw off abs and ratio?

I understand that tire diameter ratios (Front to Rear) that are too far off from stock can cause issues with wheel speed based systems (ABS, traction control), but why did you specifically recommend the 205/55/R16 versus running 225/60/R16 all around?

Probably because the overall diameter is too tall.
