This picture shows the splitters of 3 World Time Attack Challenge cars. Apparently, these teams spend lots of money on developing their aero.
Note they all have a similarity. The end plates are vertical only, likely to prevent spill from the high pressure side to the low pressure side. The canards route air away from the tires, routing high over the car serving the same purpose of aluminum plates Rob Robinette added to the edge of his splitter in front of the exposed tires.

This is a 2016 picture of the Top Fuel S2000 for WTAC. The bottom is covered in a sheet of carbon fiber that extends out on the sides and in front and in back of the wheels. Over the years they revised the front endplates, enlarged the rear endplates, and added a more distinctive upturn on canards. The radiator and intercooler duct out the hood and their is a massive vent on the rear of the tire wells.
