Default Van Conditon

When I booked the S in for MOT the other day they had a transit van on lift , about 6 years old. Not serviced for 60k miles, no MOT for six months. Both front tyres totally bald m near side tyre split and fist sized bulge on inside wall. Front brakes both side zero oad left , backing plate directly on discs, offside front wheel nuts loose , one missing and stud bent ,,oil pissing out between engine and gear box, needless to say it wasn't passing , apparently the guy returned shrugged his shoulders , said not to worry and drove away!

I watch "just rolled in" on YouTube

Common over there (mostly)

Used to work near a garage, people drove off all the time in knackered motors. That tranny will eat itself shortly luckily. Shame it won't eat the driver

Surely there’s a case for the MOT place to inform DVLA of a dangerous vehicle and or the plods , nanny state I know but what price life

I know of places that would have classed it as unfit for use, it would have had to be trailered away, but down to MOT station if they can be bothered with the customer hassle.

It clearly was unfit , didn’t know that classification existed , difficult to enforce I suppose by a garage in some circumstances
