Guys (and gal), in view of an arguement I had today with a BMX level dude in The Gallery, what would be the harm in not allowing any pictures to be posted which are not hosted here on S2ki?

This would guarantee that those who don't contribute to the support of this service could not post pictures here.

Gerry
That would be far more restrictive than practical I think. Images not hosted here don't consume resources here so they don't incur any overhead.

^ I started a thread on this...the smilies in my sig are not displaying, either.
Smilies in sigs are not parsed. They incur a processing overhead that is too large. If you want the smiley in your sig you'll need to use an IMG tag. Parsing smilies adds 2 queries to each post.

Yes, that would seem obvious. On the list.
C3, thank you very much for taking the time and listening to us! Ver 4 is already HANDS DOWN much easier to navigate and enjoy MUCH More than the old version

hope you guys aren't getting upset with me for not directly answering questions. There are a lot of posts being made in Site Info and it's taking time to respond to everything.

Well, that's a good reason.

Gerry
That's my opinion, not my reasoning. See c3's post above, in response to your suggestion, for the reasons supporting my opinion.

Can't answer for everyone, but I appreciate all the "special attention" you've given . I'm enjoying the new forum -- (however, being one of the 'vintage' dames + being blonde and suthern to boot I may be a little slow on the uptake -- however, I'll get there . . . eventually). Thanks, C -- you and all the staff have been WONDERFUL -- now for the girly stuff: <group hug>

Bring the Buddy list feature back to "MyS2k" so I can see who is online from that page. I really liked that feature on the old version.

Thanks,
Eric
