s2ki has not gone downhill. It's the same as it always has been, and if not, then please describe specifically how. What bothers me is when people say that because the S2000 is becoming more affordable it is attracting a younger crowd that won't contribute to the site like the older crowd that supposedly started this deal did, when in reality topics like this create more of a negative and deteriorating atmosphere than any of the incessant posts that some of you complain about oh so often. Assumptions are: a) younger people can't possibly contribute to S2KI like older members can, and b) Those posts I mentioned that are covered by stickies are made by a the people that are younger or not as well off financially (only now being able to afford one), and are seen as inferior is some way, shape, or form.

The growth of S2KI is a beautiful thing, and if those constant posts that (on this site are few and far between, relatively) really bother you that much, then open your eyes and realize that they are an inherent part of any online forum whether it be automotive, gardening, or otherwise.

The problem is there are tons of stickies and info for people but they are too freakin lazy to read through them. So instead they ask 100 questions that have been asked (and answered) 1000 times before.
Help me out here. I don't understand why this is a problem. If there is a question asked and answered before, ignore it.

From my standpoint this is a great forum. I have only been amember a little over a year. The help and info I've received has been great. My biggest regret is that I don't have much to offer in return.

Perhaps if more people offered help in their field of expertise, took the time to post helpful information, and offered constructive useful posts, rather than complain, it might be climbing up the hill.

Right now, there are a handful of members who are truly helpful to others, so any new members would be great. Younger kids who now own this car will not provide the content the older, more mature crowd can. Comes with the territory. This is still by far the best forum I am a part of (trust me, I am on a lot of them) so dont leave for greener pastures yet.

Everyone needs to pitch in to keep s2ki what it was/is. Report the bad apples. Takes 2 minutes to PM a moderator. We DO NOT ignore your PMs.

Long Live S2ki.

[QUOTE=AlX Boi,Oct 23 2006, 05:19 AM] It's because it's the internet that you don't have to stick around and take sh!t from random online peeps.

Where did xviper's private forum go? It doesn't work anymore.
Xviper's new place is down for server switching and updates as the root page indicates. It should be back soon, keep an eye for it.

It has gone downhill, mainly because of a few "Smart asses"who think they know everything, and do not tolerate that someone's opinion differs.
I'm confident,that with time,it will settle.
Wow Emil, are you the kettle or the pot?

Anyways, all forums go downhill with age, or at least they seem to.

This car has been out for 7 years now, most of the tech info that can be discussed has been discussed. People get mad if others don't search, which is understandable since the answers can often be found in the search.

I didn't know that xviper left though.

[QUOTE=dyhppy,Oct 22 2006, 07:46 PM]with xviper leaving and my personal observations, it begs the question what has been happening to the s2k community in past few years.
