What is PPD average? Posts per day??

And where is our gear rating? 2nd gear, 3rd gear, etc. ??

And I think we need more smilies... not symbols. the symbols are kinda dumb.

Yes you are right. PPD = Posts Per Day. It's simple.. # of posts divided by # of days since you registered. It's a quick and simple way to see how much people most. Most "whores" are PPD 10 or higher.

Also some of you might be interested to know that you can edit your ignore list at https://www.s2ki.com/forums/member2.php?s=&...userlist=ignore and actually set the system to auto-ignore users with a PPD Avg that is greater than the value you set.

Personally, I don't care for the PPD. I liked seeing 2k+ or 5k+ in someones sig!

showing the join date in addition to PPD would make PPD more useful. Someone who's been here since 11/00 and has PPD .01 isn't much of a contributor, whereas someone who joined on 11/00 and has PPD 15.4 may very well be a useful contributor in addition to being a post whore, but a recent join and high PPD is definately a whore.

 

Exactly my point here. . .can you actually see a "newbie" grabbing this??? It's just too confusing and not really valid, IMO.

Initially I did not like the PPD and missed the number of posts.
However after reading through this thread I now see the logic and can understand why this change has been made.
