I suppose I did make a personal attack on a member of this board. I suppose the thread has to stand alone and be judged on it's merits, but the fact of the matter is that the other member in question was as usual, being confrontational and insensitive in my view, at what is without doubt a difficult time for people on the U.S. Boards in particular.

The same member has caused difficulties on other occassions in the past and will no doubt do so again. He will do so without any interjection from me in future.

I make no apologiesd to anyone by the way for my remarks in that thread, I thought I watered them down quite sufficiently before posting.

I hate to say this but most of the interjection on you know who's part are political or have political undertones. You only have to go back and read them, moderators included. I just think that the moderators in general need to be aware of this. The retaliation is required to maintain some form of balance. It would probably be more advantageous to curtail or chastise the member making the initial comments. I scanned the topic and saw where it was heading even before it got there. It started with a quasi political retort from you know who! As usual.

Cedric, I made stronger similar remarks several weeks back and the whole thread was removed. I think you remember! I guess in some ways you can count your blessings, at least the comments are still there for all to see. I understand your statement in the other thread and agree with it fully. I think I said it with a little more zeal!
